Hello First Baptist Luling,

This is your pastor, Jerry Stevens. After consulting with church leadership, I have decided to postpone our post-Hurricane Ida Sunday School Relaunch previously scheduled for this coming Sunday, Jan 9. As you know, we are experiencing a rampant, post-holiday COVID wave. While symptoms are less serious with this variant, the spread is more contagious, so more crippling to all areas of society, as you undoubtedly have heard in the news.

Therefore, in the interests of the well-being and health of our church family, we are postponing our Sunday School Relaunch to Feb 6, the first Sunday in February. As a result of this postponement, our worship service time will remain at 10:00 am. For the safety of all, we will observe a voluntary masking protocol for indoor events for the next few weeks.

Other regular meetings this month will go on as scheduled, including the leadership team meeting on Sunday, Jan 23, and the quarterly Business Meeting on Sunday, Jan 30. We also still plan to conduct the Evangelism Event on Friday, Jan 28.

Thank you for your gracious patience in this unprecedented time. You always have been so kind and understanding when we have had to make these difficult decisions.

I look forward to seeing you in worship this Sunday at 10:00 am. May God bless you richly.
